We are very sorry to share an update that the IRIS London Student Research Conference due to take place on Thursday 25 June 2026 is cancelled.

We have taken this decision in the interests of safety and implications of the red weather alert for parts of the UK.

We appreciate that schools and colleges have invested significant time and effort in preparing posters, presentations and travel arrangements and we fully understand the disappointment and inconvenience that this late cancellation will cause. We share that disappointment and sincerely apologise for the impact on schools, students, teachers and guests.

We are looking at ways we can make sure that students still have an opportunity to connect with the scientific community over the coming weeks and months. We will keep you updated.

Where costs have been incurred and cannot be recovered elsewhere, IRIS will work with schools and colleges to ensure that reasonable non-refundable expenses are reimbursed.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. This is a huge disappointment but is the safest decision for our staff, students, teachers and guests given the circumstances.
